Does your child love to travel and explore? If so, Ken's Exploration Program offers an exciting opportunity for students ages 10+ to visit China's beautiful provinces. Our program offers four different provinces for students to choose from- Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. Students who join our program will travel to their desired location during school recesses and explore numerous attractions while enhancing their understanding of each province's local traditions. Descriptions and sight-seeing attractions for each trip is listed below. Beijing is the modern-day capital of the People's Republic of China and has a history of over 3,000 years. Students who enroll in our program will get to explore the most famous landmarks including: the Great Wall of China, Tian'anmen Square, the Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven, the Summer Palace, etc. Shanghai is currently of one the most modern cities located in China, with a combination of historical and modern attractions. Students will get to explore amazing attractions including: the Oriental Pearl Tower, the Yu Gardens, the Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall, the Huangpu River, etc. Hong Kong is one of the most densely populated cities in the world and offers many tourist attractions including: Victoria Peak and Victoria Harbour (which offers stunning views over the city, harbor and mountains), the Giant Buddha, Nathan Road Central, etc. Taiwan lies off the southeastern coast of mainland Asia, across the Taiwan Strait from China. Taiwan is known for its beautiful mountains and coastal scenes. Sample of itinerary from Ken's School in NYC to Taiwan: 5 Day Trip Day 1- Students arrive at Taiwan and transfer to hotel. Day 2- Taipei/Keelung/Yehliu/Taipei- Transfer to Keelung. Sightseeing: Chung Ching Park. Transfer to Yehliu. Sightseeing: Rock formations. Transfer to Taipei. Sightseeing: Taipei city tour. Day 3- Taipei/Sun Moon Lake/Puli/Taichung- Transfer to the Sun Moon Lake. Sightseeing: Wen Wu Temple or Literature Warrior Temple & Holy Monk Shrine. Transfer to Puli. Sightseeing: Pul (Cultural and Artistic Heaven) tour. Transfer to Taichung. On arrival into Taichung, students will transfer to hotel. Day 4- Taichung/Lukang/Taipei- Transfer to Lukang. Sightseeing: Lukang town tour. Transfer to Taipei. On arrival into Taipei, students will transfer to hotel. Day 5- Depart Taipei and students will fly back to NYC JFK Airport. Students will be recorded for a documentary which will be uploaded onto our kenexploration YouTube channel.
